Chairperson, Strauss GroupOfra Strauss is among Israel’s leading businesswomen and has served as Strauss Group’s Chair since 2001. She has been actively involved in the furtherance of social objectives for many years, notably in the spheres of diversity and inclusion as well as support and advocacy of women-owned small businesses within and outside Strauss Group. Ms. Strauss is a graduate of the Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law. Ms. Strauss initiated the launch of the Catalyst Index in Israel and is President of Jasmine – Jewish-Arab Businesswomen’s Association, which works for the advancement of small businesses owned by Jewish and Arab women. She is also Chair of the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency and of the Heseg Foundation for Former Lone Soldiers. Her previous public positions include Chair of Maala – Business for Social Responsibility, an umbrella organization of some 130 of Israel’s largest companies, of the WIZO Israel Fundraising Campaign and of the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers’ (AWIS) “Ametz Lochem” (“Adopt a Fighter”) Program.
