Galit serves as Executive Director of The Israel Women's Network since October 2011. Prior to this position, Galit served as Education Department Manager at the Crisis Center for Sexual Assault Victims in Tel Aviv. Galit holds a PH.D in Political Science and Gender from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Her dissertation focused on nationalism and gender in the Palestinian Authority and Northern Ireland. Previously she was a visiting scholar in the Conflict Research School at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where she studied the role of Palestinian women in public administration. Galit taught an M.A. program in Gender Studies at Bar Ilan University and currently teaches at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya School of Government and at the NYU University branch in Israel. Galit lives with her partner and three daughters in Herzliya.
